Hi, my name is Alex and I am an assistant professor at the Center of Language and Cognition Groningen where I am part of the Semantics and Cognition Group headed by Petra Hendriks. My research lies at the intersection of experimental pragmatics, psychology, and cognitive science, with a focus on strategic communication.

Previously, I was a postdoctoral research fellow on the UKRI funded project Making Numbers Meaningful led by Bodo Winter at the University of Birmingham. I did my PhD in Linguistics at the University of Edinburgh supervised by Hannah Rohde and Chris Cummins.
